Kids Organics *Shea Butter Detangling Moisturizing Hair Lotion*

I am back with another PRODUCT REVIEW :)

So I am not sure if I mentioned this in my other videos, but I am half black and half white, and my children's father is Dominican. So my daughter has naturally curly hair, that is most of the time easy to manage. However, just like any toddler, she is constantly on the go...running around with her 6 year old brother, getting into trouble, lol.

Her hair, like I said is easy care for the most part, but if he rhair is not constantly tied up in a pony tail, or bun, her hair gets soooooooo tangled, and very har to comb through. Eveyr night atfer I give her a bath, I will place some of this product through her hair, and brush or comb through. I always tie up her hair before she goes to bed. Even after her hair is tied up, through her movements in the night time, most of the time her hair will come un done. So before she goes to school in the morning, I will have to place some more product on her hair.

I always kind of thought that I didn't really need to up keep with her hair as much because she has "mixed girl hair". But at the end of the day, I am half black, and she has some black hair in her down the lines, lol. So I must upkeep her hair as such.

Her hair also dries out and frizzes up VERY quickly, so I she always has ot have some kind of moisture in her hair. For now, she has been using this product for a week or so. It has a nice smell to it, its a very light weight formula. When this product is placed on her hair, it does make the combing through soooo much easier!! I am still looking for a product for her that "detangles" and adds "shine and moisture" to her hair. I feel like this product does serve its purpose of getting those stubborn nots out of her hair, but by the end of the day, her hair is dry again!

But, I would still reccommend this product for use on someone's hair that is not so dry like my daughter's is. We will still use this, UNTIL I find something that really works for her.

I rate this product a 8 out of 10

Also, forgot to mention, I bought this product from a beauty supply store here in Brooklyn, NY. Its also sold at Walgreens, and you can search for this product on line as well. Its really cheap, about $3 for a 12 fl. oz.

Let me know what you think about this product? If yo have used it before, OR if oyu use something else on your childs hair, I would LOVE to know!! Thanks, xoxo

UPDATE on *Hair, Skin, and Nail Vitamins*

Hey guys! So I am back with an update as I promised :)

So a couple weeks ago I purchased vitamins for hair, nails, and skin. However, they were not coated, and also were really big, which made it difficult to swallow! So I stopped taking them. The other day I was shopping at Walgreens (how I LOVE that place) and decided to check out thier health department (you know, the department where you find, vitamins, bandaids, tooth brushes, etc) and I came across "Longer Stronger Hair and Nails" vitamins!! What I loved was that they were not the NASTY capsule type vitamin that I almost choked on, they are gel ones...which is soooo easy to swallow! Anyways, I looked through the collection of hair, nail, and skin vitamins that Walgreen had, and this bottle was the ONLY one that they seel that is in gel form. It was kind of pricey. I think I paid $15.99 for the bottle.

Anyways, I went home...EAGER to open the box up and get a look at these vitamins! Let me just say, for someone that can't swallow the tiniest of pills...these are GREAT!!!! The "serving ammount" is 2 vitamins daily, and I was able to do just that without gagging or choking. They went down smoothly, no problems :) So, now that I know that there is a vitamin that I CAN take, I will now be updating you guys from time to time if I see any changes in my hair or nails!!

If you guys are interested in these vitamins, I purchased them at Walgreens. I am not sure if they are sold anywhere else, but you could check it out online for other available stores in your area that they are sold at!!

Thanks, xoxo

St. Ives *Body Polish with Oatmeal & Shea Butter"

I have been looking for a product that I can use while showering to use on those rough spots that many of us have! You know, those stubborn areas on our bodies...heels, elbows, and knees!  I found this St. Ives product that is enriched with oatmeal and shea butter! It smells amazing too!! You can buy this product at most pharmacies like, CVS, Rite Aide, Walgreens, Duane Reede, and of course Wal-Mart :)  It retails at WalMart for about $6. Not bad. You can get is online, as well. Prices may vary.

I started to use this a week ago on my heels (esp), and on my elbows, and knees while in the shower. You take a small ammount of product and rub it onto those problem area that you may have on your body! Mine would have to be the heels of my feet! Once you rub in, you rinse off with WARM water, not hott or cold water. Then you get out, and PAT dry your skin, NEVER RUB your skin with a TOWEL. Apply a lotion or oil to your body (if you like to do so), and trust me, you will feel like you are wearing NEW skin! This product I would have to give a 9 out of 10

Anyone interested in buying the product and giving me your feedback on how it works on your skin, or if you use something that I have no clue about and works great, I am always up for any new products worth trying out!! Thanks, xoxo

Pacifires...the GOOD, BAD, and UGLY

I have 2 children. They are my world. My everything!

My son is 6 years old, and my dughter will turn 3 next month :)

When I became a FIRST time parent in 2005, everyone, well most people encouraged me NOT to give my son a paci or (bobo), I like ot call it. The main reason was that a child who uses a paci will end up with a gap between thier teeth, OR the child might have language development issues! My son, NEVER took to the paci, believe me, I would try to give it to him on those rest less night that every baby has, and parents suffer through :) But, he would not take it. However, with my second child...my daughter is an ENTIRE different story! As soon as she was fresh out of the womb, I held her onto my stomach and she was sucking on her fingers! I tried breast feeding her (which lasted about 4 weeks), if she wasnt on my breast, then she would be sucking at her fingers! So that's when I went ahead and bought a pack of paci's for her!

She is now almost 3 years old and STILL has a deep love for her "bobo" as she likes to call it. Many family members were telling me that she is "too old" to be sucking on her paci. I tried to get rid of them, it was a constant war in the middle of the night. She would scream and cry sooo LOUD that I seriously thought people would call the cops, thinking we were hurting her. I honestly couldn't deal, her father had to be at work, he couldnt deal with it either. I need my sleep, and when I lack it, I am not the easiest person to say the least to get along with :) So we would let her have it in the night time to soothe her to sleep.

I went on to Facebook and asked for some advice on how to get rid of a paci! I got some good tips from friends and family members!! Some people  mentioned to throw her (my daughter) a "good-bye" party for her bobo. Another suggestion was to put a hole in her paci so that its malfuntioned. And of course there was the obvios, cold turkey...that didn't work to well for us :(

Since her birthday is late-June, I am thinking about going with the idea of throwing her a little party to say good bye to her bobo, BEFORE her actual 3rd birthday party!

The "good" part about her having her bobo is PEACE within the home, esp during night time!
The "bad", is the SEVERE attachment issues she has
The "ugly", is that she is beginning to get a small gap between her teeth, and I have noticed that she will say some words odd, because she will try to talk with her paci in her mouth, which totally gets in the way of her tongue rolling to make appropiate sound for letters!

In no way, am I trying to suggest that a child will end up with a gap or language development issues, but it may happen! And I am not telling anyone how to raise thier child and what is right or wrong. Every child is different. Like my son, he never liked them. So it all really depends on the child. I knwo what works for me and my children, and I feel that 3 years old is way TOO old to be sucking on a pacifire OR fingers!!

This will be a tiring process, and a battle, but I am ready to fight and conquer this war of the paci :)

I will keep you guys updated! Also, suggestions, PLEASE feel free to comment below on your journey with pacifires or good ideas, leave comments! Thanks, and Thanks, xoxo

Hair, Skin, and Nail *Vitamins*

So my friend suggested to me that I try hair, skin, and nail vitamins! I was a little hesitant to try  it at first, thought it was another way to get deep inside the pockets of  naive people like myself! But, I decided to purchase them anyways and give it a try!!

I bought Nature's Bounty, Hair, Skin, and Nail vitamins! It was about $9 at this pharmacy in Manhatthan. The prices may vary though from store to store. Walgreens sells the same product for $12.99.
Once I purchased the box, I was eager to get home, rip open the box and literally pop these vitamins! Lol...thinking they would magically work as soon as I took them! Wishful thinking I guess!! So I read the box before taking the vitamins. The serving ammount on the box says "take 3 a day". So I am expecting these vitamins to be on the smaller size. I was soooo wrong! I took the first vitamin with a glass of juice, and I literally gagged on it. I got it down though, but I couldn't get the other one down! These vitamins are NOT coated, and they are HUGE! So if you reflex easily, like I do, then this is NOT for you. Since they are not coated, once the vitamin goes in your mouth, they disolve VERY quickly, and the taste is nasssty! I will be the first to say. I took 1 vitamin a day, for a week or so, and I saw a change in the way that my nails grew. They def grew, and grew alot stronger than they were before. And that was off of just 1 vitamin out of the 3 that you are supposed to take! However, I stopped taking thse vitamins because they were just difficult to swallow, and the taste was disgusting! I read online reviews afterwards, which might have saved my pockets the $9 that I spent on them. I have looked into other vitamins for hair, nail, and skin and will be giving those a shot! I will let you know how the process goes!

If you guys have any other suggestions for me, please let me know! I am open to any good vitamins out there that are not too exspensive on my pockets :)
